Care Advice

  • Can be used in all weather conditions – the beauty of natural vegetable tanned leather is that it will get better with age. The most common ageing with this type of leather is a patina (sheen) developing over time when exposed to water and contact with skin oils. This gives the leather the wonderful character associated with traditional leather.

  • Clean any spillages as soon as you can with a dry cloth and only resort to a damp cloth for particularly stubborn marks. Avoid cleaning detergents as they will dry out the leather.

  • If marks appear gently buff out using a soft cloth and natural leather conditioner.

  • Ideally store in a cool, dry place when not in use.

  • Condition occasionally if necessary to help protect the leather and retain moisture.
